Welcome to the Ottawa Market Spotlight and this is February in numbers!
February showed slightly more volume than the previous year with 1,421 homes sold during that month. This is a 2.6% increase year over year compared to the volume of sold homes in the February of 2021. Of the total homes sold last month, 1,095 were freehold and 326 were condominium.
Average price sold contunied to hike in February at a record of $837,517 for freehold homes and $466,682 for condominiums. That is an impressive 16.8% increase for freeholds sold year over year and condominiums trailed at 14.5% increase during the same period.
The Ottawa Real Estate Market is still experiencing a very strong seller's market and the time to sell is highly favourable. As for the buyers, it is an excellant opportunity if you are able to secure a property as the value of homes continue to drive upwards. It can be frustrating considering the high competition however with the right proffessionals by your side, navigating this market becomes a cool breeze and very rewarding.
