Welcome to the monthly spotlight update on the Ottawa real estate market. For this update we are taking a look at the month of September, 2021.
In September, the Ottawa market has seen a total of 1,607 homes sold. This is a 30.6% drop year over year from September 2020 but slightly more than last month's 1,572 homes sold. Of the total homes sold 1,244 were residential and 363 were condominium homes.
Average prices of homes sold continue to rise and currently at $648,206 from last year's average of $529,675. That is a total increase of 22.38% year over year. With residential homes averaging at $702,155 and condominium homes averaging at $425,362.
In September the average days a listing spent on the market was 25 days. Wheras in the previous year September it was 23 days.
And still, we find ourselves in a seller's market although far less intense than earlier in the the Q1 of 2021.
